Gamlitz Grape Harvest Festival
Celebrate the Gamlitz grape harvest festival together with the region's winemakers - one of the most beautiful traditional festivals in southern Styria. Every year, guests from near and far come together to experience this unique event live.
The absolute highlight is the annual Thanksgiving parade on Gamlitz Hauptplatz, as a sign of gratitude to the harvest in our wineries and gardens.
Thanksgiving Parade: living tradition
Gamlitz is not only the largest wine-growing community in Styria but also the most beautiful flower village in Austria - this is also noticeable in the impressively decorated floats. These are decorated with harvests such as: pumpkins, corn, chestnuts and numerous flowers. The colorful parade is accompanied by folk music and dance groups from the region.
Culinary delights
Like at any traditional festival here, the culinary specialties of the region play an important role. And if you spend the night in the Weinlandhof, you are only a few meters walk to the main square, where the festival takes place.
